After their triumphant return to Merseyside in April, Marseille will be playing at Revolver, Birkenhead on Saturday 11 July. Once again fans are invited to a free show.

The band which includes former Art Attack presenter, Neil Buchanan in their ranks have been spurred on by the reception they have received from fans old and new at each of the venues they have played.

A proper UK tour has now been planned and the final touches have been placed on the imminent album which introduces new songs and reworks some of the old classics.

Marseille, originally from Liverpool, are fondly remembered as one of the very few support acts that could give the likes of UFO, Whitesnake and Judas Priest a run for their money.

Yet in their own right, many observers believe that they weren’t far off that illusive hit single that propelled the likes of Saxon and other New Wave of British Heavy Metal bands towards commercial success. The collapse of the record company during their US tour was the coup de grace.

Neil Buchanan achieved fame and fortune in another media but this is now a priority for all the band as they once again convene for a double continental assault on the senses. Members reside in both UK and US.

This is another chance to see a well oiled rock band with a penchant to please. So please yourself.

The band are doing two dates at the Soundhouse in Bolton on 10 July and Revolver on 11 July. The Revolver show begins at 9 and admission is FREE.
